Each April, we come together to celebrate World Veterinary Day—a global opportunity to recognize the incredible contributions of veterinary professionals and the essential role they play in animal health, public safety, and our everyday lives.
At Mission Veterinary Hospital, this day holds special meaning. It’s a chance for us to reflect on the compassion, dedication, and expertise our team brings to every patient—whether it’s a playful puppy, a senior cat, a rescued stray, or a cherished family goat. Behind every wellness exam, surgical procedure, and emergency visit is a team that genuinely loves what they do and the animals they care for.
Veterinarians and veterinary technicians do so much more than treat illness—they provide preventive care, advocate for animals who cannot speak for themselves, and educate pet owners on how to create longer, healthier lives for their companions. This year’s World Veterinary Day theme (as recognized by the World Veterinary Association) highlights the importance of veterinarians’ roles in animal health and welfare, particularly in strengthening the human-animal bond.
