At Mission Veterinary Hospital, we believe that you deserve to have your precious pet well cared for, not only during normal office hours, but also at night and on weekends. That’s why we offer on-call emergency care.

Our hospital is outfitted with all of the cutting-edge technology and modern equipment needed to handle all of your pet’s emergency medical, diagnostic or surgical care needs at a moment’s notice. Rest assured that if and when you need us, we’ll be there!
Some of the more common pet emergencies we see at Mission Veterinary Hospital include, but are not limited to:
- Difficulty breathing
- Persistent vomiting or diarrhea (lasting longer than 24 hours or containing blood)
- Ingestion of a foreign object or toxic substance
- Broken bones
- Cuts, puncture wounds or lacerations
- Trauma, such as from a fall or being hit by a car
- Sudden lameness
- Inability to urinate
- Swollen abdomen
- Foaming at the mouth
- Seizures or convulsions
If your pet experiences any of these things, immediate medical care is recommended. We also suggest that you call ahead whenever you’re bringing your pet in for emergency care. This allows us to assess the situation, provide you with first aid instructions and prepare the hospital for your pet’s arrival.
