Mission Veterinary Hospital is proud to welcome a new veterinarian to our team—and she’s no stranger to the clinic! Dr. Janessa Garza, a Mission native, has officially joined MVH and is excited to begin serving the community she has always called home.
Dr. Garza’s journey into veterinary medicine started right here. As a child, she brought her family pets to MVH and later returned as a pre-vet student to gain valuable experience in the field. Her passion and dedication have now come full circle, and we are honored to have her return as a licensed veterinarian.
She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Public Health at Texas A&M University. After a year of hands-on experience working at Mission Veterinary Hospital, she went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. Garza’s professional interests include soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, feline medicine, and preventative care. She will be seeing both small and large animal patients and brings a compassionate, personalized approach to every case she handles.
Outside of work, Dr. Garza enjoys reading, journaling, crafting, traveling, and spending time with her two cats, Heidi and Poppy.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Garza to the MVH family. We’re thrilled to have her on board and look forward to the exceptional care she will provide to our clients and their beloved pets.
